One Night Stands... What is your point of view???  |

|  Dear buddies... A friend of mine works in another company... He is fondly attached to a girl, and that girl likes him too.. They plan to marry in a couple of years, when they're well settled to take care of things...
He told me today that he experienced something weird... He was invited by a lady colleague to her place last week, after the office was done with for the day.. He went with her and found that she stayed alone... They had drinks for quite a while. And after a couple of hours, he wanted to leave, but was stopped by the lady... Wonder why!!! She wanted to have sex with him... He told her that he was already committed... That didn't make any difference to her, though... She said, it was simply ONS... When he asked to elaborate; she said, 'One Night Stand!'
Now, this fellow is pretty emotional and very weak willed... He got scared and left... And when he narrated it to me, he made me swear that I would not say anything to his girl friend...
ONS is a new trend these days... I have been through many such Stands, so I didn't feel anything... What do you think about this guy's action??? Did he act cowardly? Or can we call him a real lover? What is your point of view about One Night Stands???
Please share buddies... I have to advice this fellow...

| |  WOW, your friend's girlfriend is a really lucky girl to have him for a partner. Seriously, most guys (even girls nowadays) would simply just give in to the temptation at that moment. It was really mature for him,but he could've avoided having drinks ALONE with that slu*ty lady in the first place... I think one night stands are for singles only. I'm always against it when I know that a third party (who could get hurt) is involved.

| | Hi Kquiming... I agree with you that ONSs are meant for singles only. It is true that most of the guys would give in; my friend had a little courage to avoid it though...
I questioned him about going to her place and drink with her when there was no one around. But the poor fellow had no idea that he was going to be alone with her... To my dismay, many of the guys have called him a 'fool' to have avoided it... :(..

| |  Your Friend is a really committed person. Otherwise if a guy got offer for ONS from a girl then i dont think that any guy will say no, but your friend did.
But, why your friend is afraid with this incident when he didnt do anything.
I think by hearing this his girlfriend will start love him more strongly.

He doesn't want his girl to know about it because he is scared of her being jealous and being more possessive... That is what he said!!!

| |  I think the guy is a real lover and I am proud of him too. There is the one night stand but I think it can suit celibates much better because they have not yet chosen their partners and while doing the ONS they can find one too.

| |  He is fantastic! Not because he didn't sleep with the woman. He is fantastic because he followed his heart. He didn't cave in to her because it didn't feel right to him.I say Bravo!
As for One Night Stands.It All depends on the couple. There are couples where a one night stand would ruin the relationship and others where as long as the person tells his/her partner , it is ok.

1. you're emotionally prepared for it
2. you're single (no attachments whatsoever)
3. you're very particular about protection
now what your guy did was commendable. Saying no was not cowardly at all. He made a wise decision. By saying no he saved himself some grief and guilt.
I've been through a lot of these one night stands because of my rather healthy night life and waking up in the morning next to someone you barely no is definitely an awkward moment. Worse if the person you slept with is someone you work with or see regularly. Definitely a disaster if that person's a friend
