Would you rather text(sms) or call someone on your cell phone?  email this discussion to a friend?

To me it depends on how urgent the issue is. There are some people who I can't text like my dad, because he does not understand how to text. Before I used to not be a texting person but then I got twice as many texts as I previously had that got added to my phone service.

I say for trivial matters texting is much more convenient. I had argued with my best friend of why he doesn't text me, he said he doesn't text his old friends who he's known for a long time. It's kind of sweet because he'd rather hear my voice and be personal. =)

Texts can often be impersonal and do not show the true depth of emotion that the texter is actually feeling. =P

It depends. One on who the person is and two what the subject is. I text constantly so a lot of people I do just text..I don't like to text my parents though. It's just weird and I'd rather call them. And when I'm talking to my friends about a serious subject, I'd rather talk to them on the phone than texting since texting can often be misinterpreted or read the wrong way.

It depends as well...if I have to explain something really long, then I'd rather call than text. Cause texting can take a lot of time. But if its like something not that important then I'll just text. happy

it depends. If i just want to ask the person a question, i would just text, but if i know that im going to have a long conversation with them then i rather call them.

It really all depends on what the situation is. A lot of times, a simple text message will work just as well as a phone call in passing on the message that needs to be conveyed to the other person. Sometimes, however, it is better to just make a phone call, especially if the other person needs to have the opportunity to ask questions or clarify details quickly. A phone call is also more effective if you want to know for sure that the other person gets the message in a timely manner. However, if time is not an issue, and if the details are simple enough to be easily understood, a text message is often more efficient that taking the time to make a phone call...

I would much rather speak to someone on the phone. Texting takes too long to say what needs to be conveyed sometimes. But if I need to leave a message for someone that is in need of no response then I don't mind sending a text for that.

I prefer calling over texting, however it depends on the situation, if it's a short message than texting is better, but for the long ones calling is better, even though it's kinda obvious. Anyways, I'm not that great or "skilled" at texting, so it would take a while for me to send texts to other people and by calling, I could talk and tell others as much as possible.

i much rather prefer calling someone than sending a txt to someone from my cellphone because if i have important things to know specificaly i can easily understand and get the idea right away. than text you need to send a couple of messages to make sure that what you got on the text message is right and clear. i can say that its much cheaper to send text message(sms) than phone call. but now days almost all the network is making thier best offer to all of thier subscribers on unlimited txt and calls. and it cost less. you can be able to phone someone or text as long as you want

For me that depends on the situation. If there is a lot I want to say, I'd rather call. If it is just FYI than I rather text.

I don't text anymore. In fact the facility which I am availing right now is based on the calling. And my call charges are quiet low compared to texting. Most of my family members prefers to talk now, than text. I don't have a unlimited texting plan.the only time I text is,if I cannot contact a person on phone.I prefer keeping a message. My fingers also hurts after quiet some time.wink
Take care, and happy mylotting.
