Workers In Venezuela On Alert After Chavez Warning
Venezuela's socialist president is threatening to "go after" the country's biggest food producer, and the corporation's workers are not happy about it.
"All the companies the president ... has expropriated, all those companies have gone bust," Prieto said in a telephone interview from the northwestern city of Barquisimeto.
He cited the example of Vengas, a natural gas company that was seized by the government and is now called Gas Comunal.
"That company was the best gas business here in Barquisimeto," he said. "Now you can't get gas."
Chavez wondered aloud Sunday what the government would do with Polar's brewery in the event of a takeover, and said he would shut down the beer-making operation.

| |  There ya go, another mini dictator taking over a country, he's the reason i stopped using CITGO gas years ago. and if hugo baby cant get his beer there im sure his russian pals will send him vodka by the case load, and poor ole MAMOUD cant have a drop poor guy. can u imagine if americans cant get a beer ? omg thems fightin words pal. bada boom ole louie the lip would be knockin on the white house door, yo. i dont think we have to much to worry about YET because BARACK IS ON HIS WAY OUT, EVEN HAWAII DOESNT WANT HIM AND THATS SAYING SOMETHING.

| |  Oh, but GM made a profit! (Of course, Fannie Mae and Freddie needed more money, a few banks needed more money...) And Obama hasn't said he was going to take over Miller and the microbreweries in CO. (Of course, he took over student loans...) This isn't what we want in the U.S., but it's what we got...until 2012.
