What do you think should be the ideal time spent on working with Laptop/Desktop?  

I usually spent some ten to eleven hours daily in front of my laptop, as I am at home itself because of my exams so I find it a good pass time to sit in front of the laptop and work a bit, now that you are saying it is bad for health so I have to ask a doctor about it for sure.

What's healthy? Probably no time on the computer whatsoever. Think about it... you're not active, you're straining your eyes staring at that computer screen, and you're probably slouching when you're doing that too. It's not good for you at all!
That being sad... I probably spend too much time on the computer. It's usually between 1-3 hours a day for me.

sandeep I spend from 8to 11 am, from 12 to 4pm and 5 to10 p.m so thats
about twelve or thirteen hours but there are days when I get only 8 hours but then its okay. I cannot be on here all the time, I have to have a
break occasionally for health sake. but I am retired so I do this as pastime and to earn money too, and to keep up with all my mylott friends too.

I think that we are all different and where some people have bad health spending just a few hours a day on a laptop, others won't be effected. There are people in my family who go to work and spend their entire working day on a computer and they don't seem to have any health problems. Yet there are some people I have heard about that have suffered from RSA (repetitive strain injury) and other problems. So, as I feel OK, I will spend as much time as necessary on my computer. _Derek

I spend not less than 8 hours a day, Maybe it is bad to spend lots of time in your computer is bad to your health, to those that are using CRT monitor is bad to the eye bad not so much with those that are using laptop and LCD screen. sometimes it will cause back ache that is why it is to stretch out from time to time. when you are in front of your computer sometimes you forgot the time and you passed your meal so it is bad to your stomach. so far for me that the reason why to spend more time in your pc is bad to your health.

I am on my laptop quite a bit each day, but I do take breaks periodically, to rest my eyes, and also to rest my hands, as doing repetitive work can cause carpal tunnel, and I don't want that happening. I have bad eyesight anyway, as I have cataracts, so I do need to make sure I am not on my laptop to long before I do take any breaks. I think for health reason, we should all take breaks periodically. Take care, and happy mylotting.
