She was very happy and amazed too. For long I wanted to buy these to my kid, but never found time. Now I have taken a break from work to spend quality time with my kids. Somewhere I was losing the essence of introducing gradma's games to my kids. What about you guys?

Well my mind is definitely elsewhere today!! I thought you had said snakes, lizards and lodos, even though I read it 2 or 3 times, and I was wondering what are lodo's?? And then you said games, and I thought "HUH?" Luckily after reading your replies I figured it out what it actually said.
That is great that you are taking a break from working and playing with your children. They will always remember things like that, and it will be those memories that make them better people.
I am so happy for you!

oh snakes and ladders! i've almost forgotten the game i had so much fun with when i was a little girl. Thanks for giving me the idea, I think I'll do the same - introduce the little game to my 5 year old. It's simple and easy, I hope he likes it as much as I did before.

Surely they will like it. My son hates going to the snakes mouth and coming down, so when ever his coin goes to the snakes mouth he will say "I didn't roll the dice properly" LOL

I actually introduced those games to my sona while ago, I think he was about 5... I think these games are brilliant... snakes and ladders was his favourite by far... so much so that he at the age of 6 had decided that he would change the way he played the game, and instead of going up the ladders and down the snakes he would reverse it, so he would go up the snakes and down the ladders lol... it didnt really matter in a way though because he still managed to win lol...
Apart from all that, I have to say that these types of board games are great for kids that age because it helps them with Maths and in turn gives them good understanding on that subject at school, ans at least they are learning in a fun way.

So shweet....yeah these games are good for developing their arithmetic skills. It is a good time pass also for them. Instead of watching the idiot box they can spend some quality time with these.

Glad I bumped into this topic. I would surely buy my 5 year old this game specially it is their school break right now. I used to enjoy them when I was young, I know he would too specially now that he knows to count. I think it is a good way to practice his Math.

i just love playing them ...
