What are some great gift ideas for a 10 year old boy?  

Every boy likes games

A sure-fire way to get him something he likes:
ASK HIS MOTHER.

I always do that if I'm looking for a gift for a kid, I'll call up the mom and ask her what he/she is "into" at the moment.
(Like if they like a certain character from a movie/tv show or if they like trading cards or putting puzzels together)

And some have said, "Oh, I'm sure ANYTHING you would get he would like!"
But I just tell them, "Well, I'd really like to get him something that he'll actually like-it'd make me feel so good to know that he genuinely likes it!"

And they ALWAYS tell, and the kid ALWAYS loves it;)

I just hope the kid isn't some video game freak-those things are expensive (but you can always find one on sale) but if you can't, I'd just get something with the video game characters on it (like a poster or action figure)-the parent's should buy the games, that's too much to spend on your neighbor's kid.

if he's n2 sports, a football, soccer ball, b-ball. if he's active in his church, synagogue or mosque, get him a bible, tora or kuran w/his name embossed. if he's got a gaming console, buy a game 4 it. if all else fails, a gift certificate 2 KB Toys or Footlocker. hope this gives u a jumpstart.

Try and find out what he is into eg what toys, games he likes or what is his favourite film. There may be suitable toys from the film or characters you could purchase or a game.

Give him a gift certificate to his favorite store.

Those are all great ideas.I guess I have nothing to say.....When I was ten and the earth was new. I liked to build models. I don't know if Kids still build models. But it taught me motor skills and how to read directions. Just a thought. Then I'd sniff the Glue!. NO,I'm just kidding lol.

skateboards, sports stuff, car/truck magazines, models, hotwheels.
ive got a boy 11 - they are not the easiest o buy for since everything they want anymore is electronic - go for the oldies, batman, spiderman things like that and you'll be a hit

I say a gift certificate is a great idea. First of all $20-30 dollars to a 10 year old boy is alot of money..and secondly, it gives him the enjoyment of going shopping with his own $. This may also allow for him to pick out something he didn't get for his b-day..or something to go with something he got.
