The Compaq laptops were readily accepted in the market by many people worldwide. The Hp laptops are descent laptops in the market for sure. The price range would be of great help in your case. This laptop that I suggest you would come at INR 60800 up to maximum of INR 62000.
Happy Myloting.

Well, then I would suggest you to go for an i3 processor based laptop with similar features as earlier. Only difference would be like 140 GB less in HDD and 3 MB cache of HP indeed. Yet if you are opting for Dell then there are many similar features wit affordable one's also with customization options too. I was told by many that Dell isn't the best brand yet we all have our own choices, right!
Happy buying one laptop soon.

I think any acer aspire notebook is good. It does not cost a lot and it has good specifications. Most are with 2 gigabytes of ram, 250 gigabyte hard disk, and 1.6 ghz processor. It has a 10 inch screen. I think that these kinds of laptops would do.
It is not really about the brand of the laptop. I think that we should also consider the after sale services. I was talking about acer since it has been the cheapest that I have seen and it has a fair after sale services. And oh, most stores has a free 4 gigabyte flash disk.

It will depend on your budget. Without knowing the budget, it would be hard to recommend anything.
For me, I am planning to buy one of Dell's lower priced one. The reason being that my husband's family has used Dell all the time and they never had much problem, considering the way they use (or abuse, as the case may be). I was overjoyed when Dell decided to enter India. My next Laptop is going to be Dell for sure. I just have to decide which model fits my budget.
