Black Friday

I plan to go check out sokme really good sales. I am not much of a shopper but I am looking for something particular and this is the best day of the year to find good savings, so it looks like I am going to have to deal with the crowds. I probably will not last as long as my friends so I will sit in the car a lot while I wait on everyone else to complete their shopping. What are your plans?

Nooooooooo way!!!! I do not like crowds and besides I have all my shopping done. I shop all year round, which is more fun and I don't get stressed out shopping right before Christmas. Today, I am on mylot, obviously and I will start to get my Christmas tree out of storage and set it up in the livingroom.

My husband took me to the mall. He got his hair cut at Penneys. We then left for Walmart. I purchased cloth and a few other items. We went home, ate a turkey sandwich and had a cup of coffee. The traffic was nuts on the way to the mall, but on the way back it wasn't so bad.

I did some shopping yesterday, but not much. I looked through the ads Thursday and was disappointed in the sales. I didn't find many things I was impressed with. Last year, Big Lots had Barbie dolls priced at just $1.49 the day after Thanksgiving. I bought several for grandnieces and Angel Tree kids. I didn't see any prices like that this year. I did NOT get up at 5 am like other people.

I went to Radio Shack for a Blue Tooth headset. It was 80% off after rebate. They were out by the time I got there, though.

From there, I went to Sears at the mall. I got in without any traffic. Sears' sale ended at 11 and I walked in about 10:35. There were three items I was looking for. I saw several sales associates standing by the door and grabbed one of them. I handed him the add and showed him what I wanted. He was a GREAT help and found everything I wanted. I had checked out and was back in my car before 11.

From there, I went to Walgreens. They had several items at wonderful prices. In fact, I thought they had the best prices of any store in town. I got peanuts and M&Ms for 99 cents each. (I'm going to make some trail mix for my brothers-in-law.) I think I saved $2 per item there. I also bought some chocolate covered Oreos for 99 cents. I'll use those as stocking stuffers. I think my favorite item was some ty Jingle Beanies. Regularly priced at $2.99, Walgreens had them buy 1 get 2 free so I got 3/$2.99. I'll use those for Angel Tree kids, too. They're so cute, Tiffanie. I bought these bright red bears that have removable caps with antlers on them. So it looks like the bears are dressed up as reindeers. They each have a jingle bell in them, too.

I shop all year, too, and had most of my shopping done before Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

I've never heard of Black Friday, obviously it has something to do with shopping. I love shopping! I am from the maritimes in Canada. We have a boxing day sale after Christmas with lots of great deals.
