Here we go! is a long prayer better than 5 short prayers. Is the person or persons religious depth more influental Than say a person like me who has no depth at all. Does the number of prayies have significant impact, or maybe a person of my ilk who has no religious couth could be looked upon more favorly because im not always harrassing the powers that be, and they might think my request requires closer inspection. If the person being prayed for has no knowledge of being interceded for will it have the same effect or any at all. There is also the thought that if the person being prayed for is fully aware of the concern on his behalf it will generate enough positive attitude to give rise to his immune system to over come any medical challanges. Who knows? Only the shadow knows! I would certainly like to hear a muslims thoughts on this subject.

Number of prayies has significant impact, religious couth counts for naught, it is the quality of the prayer as judged by God that counts.

In some cases yes and in some no. Depends on how likely the person being prayed for is influenced by things psychosomantic

Prayer is a womderfull thing for the emotionaly distressed and poor souls swirling about in the foggy complexities of a life gone sour. Prayer can bolster ones resolve to get a good two handed grasp on the situation that is sending them on the road to perdition and get back in the main stream of life. Depression will evaporate and along with it many health issues will flee the scene. This has been commonly known but constantly over looked since Jesus said love you neighbor as you would your self,even if she is fat and ugly. To try and bring science into the equazion is really streching probably enough to tear a ligament. The only important part of this issue is the end results.to totally ignore science in favor of mumbling requests in a protate position can be with out merit and totaly deadly. science and prayer must work cohesively to achieve results that can be acceptable to the inellectualy elite as well as the moron element. But rest assured thier will always be some inellestual bone head that will write a know all book on what ever subject with garrenties of divine inspiration. I f this doesn't get the whole camp pissed off I don't know what will.

In my uninformed opinion, prayer is a form of meditation and one of the most valuable tools in mans arsenal of weapons to hold at bay depression, unhappiness and all the negative input that life has to throw. Praying to a higher intellect and asking for guidance to solve disturbing and preplexing problems may not neccessarly give you a solution but may open pathways for you to further investigate and lead to a remedy that will bring things to a satisfactory conclusion. Which is a whole lot better than confronting the moron and blowing his brains out.

Ok OK forget blowing his brains out, bad idea. How about instead give him an anal insertion with a high pressure fire hose and maybe after you have opened up his sinisus you can possibly work things out. Having a clear head will always help.

One way to look at it, was either the power of prayer or an incompetent medical system the only thing that really matters is the out come.
