raising kids  | | For the single mothers i know its been hard for you so what have you learned in your life from raising kids on your own and what has it taught you in return?,for mothers with partners do you ever feel like a single mother sometimes and you could use a little help?

| | | | | | | | 1. sabrinam (711) | 4 years ago | I've learned that if you feel sorry for your kids because one parent is missing or gone from the picture, you only make life harder for yourself and that child. You have to be mom and dad, and you can't sacrifice discipline or morals because you had a hard day at work, or because Johnny's dad isn't around so we just overlook the outbursts and fits, etc. You can't coddle children, you have to teach them and prepare them for the world whether you're one parent or part of a unit. The other thing is this, no matter how hard life gets, it could be worse.
