Tips and Tricks for MyLot  

Here are some Coool Tips and Tricks that i found for Mylot after a lot of searching on the site. There arent written by me but they are being copied from the authours sources.
My aim is to get all the material at one place.
one gets 1/4 th of refferral's earnings .
it depends on their activity here .

here are some tips:
1. start & maintain at least 6 new topics every day
2. Respond in as many topics as possible
3. Comment back to good responses to your discussions. dont say just 'thanks'
4. Tag all your responses with good key words
5. Answer a wide variety of topics.
6. Answer questions with no response
7. Apply plus ratings to good replies
8. When you reply in posts don't babble, make quality replies.
9. Keep discussions going.
10. Make freinds who can help you .
11. Aim for over 50 posts per day to different discussions
12. add relevant images with your posts
if possible
13. select a reasonable best response
for your discussions .
1. Rate every post you come by. Give + ratings to everyone you can.
2. Comment to all of the discussions you make.
3. Use as many keywords/ tags you can think of.
4. Make friends and help each other.
5. Make sure when you start discussions to make soeones post the best response.
6. Goal for at least 20-50 replies everyday.
7. Make your replies worth it. Try to goal for 4 sentences each without babbling.

1)Read the guidelines and the FAQ...very informative and will clear up many misconceptions I
have read here...
2)Several detailed, descriptive, and on- topic posts per day will earn more than 50 one word
short posts. For the first 2 days I was on mylot I posted like a madman, and only made about
.80/day. The third day I was only able to post about 15 quality posts on subjects that truly
interested me, and I made over 1.20 for those 15. The FAQ even says that they are looking
for quality posts and that those will be rewarded higher than the short posts.
3) When you find someone who either gives a quality response to your post, or who posts a
quality topic, add them to your friends list. You are sure to make more money if you find
someone who posts discussions that you can give quality answers to.
4)Keep the images you upload on-topic with the discussion you are posting or responding to.
Make sure they are of good quality.
4)This is copied straight from the FAQ regarding the rating system:What is the Discussion Rating System?The Discussion Rating System (DRS) allows users to rate the usefulness of topics, responses
and comments on myLot. The goal of the DRS is to help keep the quality of myLot discussions
as high as possible for all members.
myLot members should rate discussions, responses, and comments based upon quality and
usefulness. We are very excited about the DRS and encourage everyone to use it.
The DRS is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly
reward valuable contributions to the myLot community.
How do I use the DRS?The DRS is very straight-forward and easy to use:Read the topic, response, or comment.
If you find the topic, responses, or comment useful, then positively rate that action by
clicking on the plus sign (+) next to it.
If you find the topic, response, or comment not useful and feel it negatively impacts the
myLot community, then negatively rate that action by clicking on the minus sign (-) next to
it.
If you have no strong opinions either way, you should not rate the topic, response, or
comment. You should never the need to rate every action. Many actions are indeed “neutral”
and should not be rated at all.
If you feel the topic, response, or comment violates the myLot community guidelines, then
click on the explanation point (!) next to it, and report the abuse to the myLot staff.
So therefore I find it completely unnecessary to rate every single response, as it's only
the responses that actually further the discussion, and, bring out a valid point that need
to be rated.
5) Try to get best response everytime you respond to a discussion, hence the need to make
quality posts on topics of your interests. Best responses seem to be weighed heavily in your
earnings.
The owners of Mylot have already stated that they want a site with quality, informative
information being shared among members. Posts like "what is your favorite color" with 500
responses won't earn nearly as much as topics that require thought, research and or
knowledge in a specific area.
From what I can read and figure out, they use a very complex text and image scanning
software that scans every post for content, word count, and keywords. It then gives that
post a value which it factors into a formula of some sort and computes a monetary amount.
