That's what I wanted to know, if she sings abour her father that died, it's an amazing and very emotional song and video, definitely one of my favourites

I believe its about her father. I thought her father was not around when she was growing up? From the verse that was posted above... I get the feeling that she wishes she had that relationship, she's forgiving of what he's done, and she wants him in her life but "he won't be there." Either way... I LOVE the song. She is a very talented singer. I just wish she had more ballads like this one.
