Celtic bounce back to draw, Rangers win

GLASGOW, Nov 26 (Reuters) - Celtic fought back from two goals down to snatch a late point in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Hibernian on Sunday in their Scottish Premier League tussle.



Rangers climbed to second place with a convincing 3-0 win over Kilmarnock to cut Celtic's lead to 13 points.

Irishman Ivan Sproule crashed a ferocious half volley into the top right from 12 metres to put Hibs ahead in 11 minutes with Celtic struggling to contain them in a fast flowing half.

Hibs skipper Kevin Thomson ended a fabulous run past three players by stabbing the ball through the legs of keeper Artur Boruc for 2-0 in 63 minutes.

But substitute Evander Sno hit back with a low drive from 16 metres following a fine run and cut-back by Kenny Miller in 70 minutes on the left.

Another Celtic sub, Aiden McGeady, hit the equaliser five minutes later with a low shot into the bottom left hand corner.

Rangers took the lead against Kilmarnock in the 22nd minute with Charlie Adam firing a shot into the top left from 16 metres before Kris Boyd hooked in the second five minutes later.

Croatian striker Dado Prso added a third in the 57th minute.

Dundee United beat St Mirren 1-0 in the only other SPL fixture on Sunday with Noel Hunt scoring from a close range header in the 63rd minute.
