i believe so...you can still find them at some part of Malaysia and Thailand. After all, if you got money, anything is possible nowadays...including black magic..

Long ago, people believed highly in magic and witches. People looked for someone to blame when a terrible event happened. They would single out a peculiar person - mostly a woman - and say the woman, having been given powers from the devil, was responsible for the tragedy. Women accused of witchcraft were called witches and the men accused of witchcraft were called warlocks. Witches and warlocks were believed to be in league with the devil and possess satanic powers. They were thought to be able to fly on broomsticks and transfigure themselves. Often innocent people were tortured for what they had supposedly done and were forced to confess even if they were innocent.

But nowadays, few people believe in magic.

What I can tell you is that many people believe nowadays that they can make black magic. I have a friend that is very keen on reading "misterious books" and dark forces. After reading some texts he gave me I deduced that magic doesn't exist as magic. I mean, magic has to be with faith and what anyone believes; so, if you can strongly believe something, then you would be "making that thought more posible". In fact, many spells that I read became succesfull when you pronounce some words. I think it's up to each one.

Efforts to explain the world's mysteries, and to find ways to control at least some of them, gave rise to many magical practices and rituals to manipulate the weather, the movement of animals, fertility, illness, death, and other seemingly uncontrollable forces. In the process of exploring and explaining their world, people began to evolve a primitive science, which would eventually lead to a greater understanding of astronomy, medicine, chemistry, and other natural sciences.
