Does anyone have any good crockpot recipes? I love to use the crockpot instead of the oven but I need more of a variety when it comes to good family meals. Please post your recipes! Thanks!

Crockpot Bavaarian Pot Roast - Its an image of Crockpot Bavaarian Pot Roast.
I use following: Crockpot Bavaarian Pot Roast: 3 to 4 lbs pot roast (organic or free range if possible) 1 teaspoon vegetable oil 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 3 whole cloves 4 medium apples -- cored and quartered 1 small onion -- sliced 1/2 cup apple juice or water 3 tablespoons flour (up to 4 tbs.) 3 tablespoons water (up to 4 tbs.) Serves 6 to 8 Wipe roast well and trim off excess fat. Lightly rub top of meat with oil. Dust with salt, pepper, and ginger. Insert cloves in roast. Place apples and onions in Crock Pot and top with roast (cut roast in half, if necessary, to fit easily). Pour in apple juice. Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours or on High for 5 to 6 hours. Remove roast and apples to warm platter. Turn Crock Pot to High setting. Make a smooth paste of the flour and water; stir into Crock Pot. Cover and cook until thickened.

Try a warm snack or dessert on a cold day! CROCKPOT BANANA BREAD ===================== (Makes 4 to 6 servings) Ingredients: ------------ 1 3/4 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 cup shortening 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs, well beaten 1 1/2 cups well mashed, overripe banana (2 or 3 bananas) 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional) Instructions: ------------- Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. With the electric beater on low, fluff the shortening in a small bowl, until soft and creamy. Add the sugar gradually. Beat in the eggs in a slow stream. With a fork, beat in 1/3 of the flour mixture, 1/2 the bananas another 1/3 of the flour mixture, the rest of the bananas then the last of the flour mixture. Fold in the walnuts (optional). Turn into a greased and floured baking unit or a 2 1/2 quart mold and cover. Place on a rack in the slow cooker. Cover the cooker, but prop the lid open with a toothpick or a twist of foil to let the excess steam excape. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes. Serve Warm.
