Harry Potter movies |
|
Okay, I was so against Harry Potter when the movies first started coming out. I thought it looked like some really dumb little kid movie. Well, here I am twenty five years old and totally addicted to Harry Potter. I can not get enough of the movies and am now starting to get the books. I even play an interactive RPG Harry Potter online game. So, I guess it isn't dumb after all. Tell me your thoughts.

3. stellarjade (990) | 4 years ago | I like the harry potter movies. I think the books are much better though. They just have more detail. But they did a great job with the movies.

mfrancq (1006) | 4 years ago | Books are alway better in my opinion. I don't think they can put that much detail into a movie like they do a book. Otherwise the movie would last forever, and more then likely lose the attention of it's viewers. Thanks for the response!

Trace86 (3407) | 4 years ago | With the books, you need more details because you have to use your imagination to set the scenario. The movie requires no imagination on your part. Also, I was disappointed to see some of the bits of the books they left out. They cut some good stuff.

mfrancq (1006) | 4 years ago | It took forever for my husband to talk me into giving the movie a chance. I finally gave in and now I watch it and keep up with everything way more then he does! Thanks for the response!

6. Trace86 (3407) | 4 years ago | I love the movies too. I especially like it when Hermione does something exceptional and earns the respect and admiration of the boys. I liked when she was coming down the stairs wearing a dress for the Yule ball and the boys really saw her for the first time. I hated when they made her cry. Hagrid is priceless!

7. heal4michael (132) | 4 years ago | I love the Harry Potter movies. I'm a big kid at heart. The first one looked good so I went to see it. I'm not hooked but I really love the movies a lot. I've seen a preview for the next one. It looks intense.

8. alexdiazgranados (507) | 3 years ago | I had never read any of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter books until I saw Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and while I'm not a big fan of either the movies or the books (I only have Books 1 and 5), I really was surprised that neither falls into the category of "Just for Kids" fare.
Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if someday Rowling isn't hailed as one of the most important and influential storytellers in English-language literature. (I'm also, by the way, for anyone who can get kids excited about reading; I happen to think that if textbook authors/editors would make an attempt to make history and other subjects' textbooks more interesting, our educational system would be better off.)
