What is the least bad thing you can do that will break the law? | | | | There are a lot of things out there that are illegal, and we mostly discuss the things here that have great impact. Physical and mental violence, animal cruelty, sexual abuse, and so on. There are many other crimes that are less severe, but are illegal anyway. Things that will not directly effect (a lot of) people, things you don't even think about often. Perhaps P2P file sharing is a good example, allthought artist are directly effected by it; so you might also say that's not true. The thing is, I guess every crime is severe to someone; shoplifting something of little value will not hurt a big marketing chain with lots of stores, so you might say it's not severe. It can however become severe when someone gets addicted to it or if they let it get out of hand (I'd like to point it that I do think it's a bad thing and no one should ever do it, just trying to look at it objectively). I guess it's watching a movie with kids at school or daycare; it's illegal because you may only watch it at home (yes, it's true.. at least it's this way in Holland, I know that for sure). I feel you are not hurting anyone by sharing your video with these kids, you are not charging them money to watch it and it's used for good clean fun. Most of the times you watch movies that are property of the organisation, but I don't see a big crime in watching my home copy of (for example) Disney's Bambi with the kids for one single time. What do you think is the least bad thing to do that does break the law? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | You forgot traffic laws. Just going 1 mile over the speed limit is considered breaking the law. Not wearing a seatbelt can be considered breaking the law. | | | | | | | cyberfluf (2897)

| | Yes, that's absolutely true! And the silly thing is, cops can drive through a red light (even if they are being normal citizens and don't have the light on them, which I think is odd). In traffic there are many odd laws I think... thank you so much for pointing this one out :) | | | | | | | Reduce Felony Convictions Seal juvenile record, destroy drug records, dismiss covictions www.criminalattorneyinpasadena.com | add comment | | | |
