Love or be love

I would like to say that I'd rather give than receive but I'm afraid I'm too selfish to do that. Having never faced such a situation myself, even hypothetically, this is a dilemma. Any way you look at it, someone still has to get hurt. Purely out of self-preservation though, I rather let the person down gently than to be stuck in a situation where my feelings are not requited. Yeah...Basically that's how I feel la.

well i have both the experiences in my life.For which i regrated later on.

So i think its better to be loved.Suppose you love someone and also get it.If he/she doesnt love you there is no use of your love there.

Also when you are being loved by someone then there is one thing for sure....there is someone who cares a lot for you.Who needs you ....

And like my friend always said to me "Always marry someone who loves you and not the one whom you love".

i think both would be better. the relationship would last if both are mutual in love.

i have never loved anyone..i mean i lu my family n friends..but never went beyond that...but i think loving some one n being loved by the same person is more important n nice than being loved by a person whom u don't love...

This is a tough one!
Either way, someone is being hurt, and that's not good.
I would never encourage someone romantically or even be comfortable with them if I knew that they loved me in that sense and wanted more than I could give of myself. Unrequited love is painful. I could not let someone be there for me and love & support me, knowing that their expectations will never be met. It's hard to be "just friends" with someone who has expectations of more.
I have also been on the other end of this, where I have felt that I truly was "in love" with someone and he felt feelings of just friendship. It was a really rough situation, and I ended up very hurt. The good thing is that after a period of adjustment, we have become good friends. In fact, we are the best of friends; we know each other so well that we anticipate each other's needs.
That kind of love, true friendship, is more important to me than romance at this time. Friendship is much more solid; true friends will always be there for you, and you get the pleasure of loving someone else and giving of yourself without anyone getting hurt.
The most important thing to me is honesty. I think that if you are honest and straightforward with people, there is less of a chance that you will hurt them or end up hurt yourself. It is never good to play games with someone's feelings.

I have had both loves in my life. To be loved by someone but not to be in love with that person makes life difficult. You tend to think the grass is greenier somewhere else until you get there.Then when you love someone else and they don't love you that same way. It leaves you wondering what situation is really the best.I think probably neither one because you are always searching for the next best thing.In either someone leaves with a broken heart.Remember to love yourself first then you can love someone else.
Remember love isn't suspose to hurt it is suspose to feel good.

to be love apears good alternative on surface but if you go deeper,to love somebody and do everything for his/her joy is simply a unique experience of giving which will give tremendous satisfaction to individual. this is because hidden pleasure lies in giving rather than taking.so, start giving and you will recive much mre than what you will give.

That's a tough one. I can't imagine loving someone who doesn't love me back. I also can't imagine someone loving me that much and not feeling anything toward them. Good question for us to sit and think about.
