| This poem is especially dedicated for my one and only true love. I was the author of this & this was an entry to the World-wide on-line poetry contest which qualifies to the semi-finals and advances to the finals. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Uncertain Memories of the past keeps taunting you But dont you worry co'z i'm here for you I'll do my part to wash away your tears So trust me my darling and have no fears. If you would be able to give me a chance To ease all the pains you felt is my assurance A heartfelt intention is what i always mention But still your in doubt so my heart flouts into portion. If you only believe that my love won't deceive I'll show you the reasons why my love should lead Many people dissuade me but i never heed co'z Deep inside i think upbeat not to make your heart bleed. After knowing my astonishing factual emotions You told me to stop this feeling co'z it must not go on But i never turned uncertain co'z my love will still remain Certainly i say you're my true love and hope it'll never turn invain. | | yup, I like all of his writings too! here is one sample i like most from edgar allan poe's writings. ------------ ALONE by Edgar Allan Poe (1830) From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then- in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy life- was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view. Thanks for Responding! | | | |

| | 22 I gave myself to him, And took himself for pay. The solemn contract of a life Was ratified this way The value might disappoint, Myself a poorer prove Than this my purchaser suspect, The daily own of Love Depreciates the sight; But, 'til the merchant buy, Still fabled, in the isles of spice The subtle cargoes lie. At least, 'tis mutual risk,— Some found it mutual gain; Sweet debt of Life,—each night to owe, Insolvent, every noon. | | | |

| | Think of me Consider my feelings. Though they may not mean much to you, now. Give them some thought. Think of me when all the world turns against you, And your only friend is just a word away From being your enemy. Think then of my love. Think of me when the cold years enclose you, And keep you from being your own man. Think then of my warmth. Think of me when you are lied to and tried For wrongs you didn't commit. Think then of my faithfulness. Think of me when the world turns ugly By the hands of your fellow man. Think then of my inner beauty. Think of me when men kill to survive In the world you so desperately need. Think then of my morals. Don't ban me from being a woman in love, But stop me from letting you run into your world alone. Make me a part of your world, to help you survive. Don't just think of me, Be with me. | | | |

| | I read this poem on web and its now my favorite IF I KNEW If I knew it would be the last time, That I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep. If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more. If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day. If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming you would KNOW I do. If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, Well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away. For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything just right. There will always be another day to say "I love you," And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do?" But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight. So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today? For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish. So hold your loved ones close today, and whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear Take time to say "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay." And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today. | | | | | | |

| | This one was written by my 16 year old son who is living in South Africa: On a cold, dark, winters street the wind whispers with the sound of feet an open alley brings with it greed where beggars fight and scratch and bleed where hobo rats bring with disease a beggars heart slows down to cease of cold and years of stale bread no one knows that he is dead a dog walks by and sheds a tear for loss of hope and growing fear humanity has lost its love now all we do is push and shove so many lives are lost each hour in the struggle to become the superpower a silence after every war bloodshed worse than the one before a world where cops are most corrupt and governments have given up time stands still and a nation cries as yet another person dies this is the land that they call free but my story tells of reality as dawn approaches the body is found and death has come without a sound the only witness a lonely dog that disappeared within the fog.. written by RBHeyns | | | | | | |

| | Guilty soul I once locked myself In a place no one can dealt It was me and my soul And my unfailing goal I wouldn’t listen to anyone I don’t care if they’re gone My concern is my happiness And live the life of a mess I’m much better than them Coz they don’t know who I am I always want things perfect Wouldn’t care if I lack respect Yes, I’m happy this way The way I chose to exist Not a soul can reach My feelings and my guilt Maybe you see me happy Maybe you see me witty But behind this empty smile A guilty soul lies --- i made that poem | | | | | | |

| | Here it is! This was the first time I read this & this was a nice one... Thanks for responding! ---------------------------------------------------------------- MENDING WALL Robert Frost Something there is that doesn't love a wall, That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it, And spills the upper boulders in the sun, And makes gaps even two can pass abreast. The work of hunters is another thing: I have come after them and made repair Where they have left not one stone on a stone, But they would have the rabbit out of hiding, To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean, No one has seen them made or heard them made, But at spring mending-time we find them there. I let my neighbor know beyond the hill; And on a day we meet to walk the line And set the wall between us once again. We keep the wall between us as we go. To each the boulders that have fallen to each. And some are loaves and some so nearly balls We have to use a spell to make them balance: 'Stay where you are until our backs are turned!' We wear our fingers rough with handling them. Oh, just another kind of out-door game, One on a side. It comes to little more: There where it is we do not need the wall: He is all pine and I am apple orchard. My apple trees will never get across And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him. He only says, 'Good fences make good neighbors'. Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder If I could put a notion in his head: 'Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it Where there are cows? But here there are no cows. Before I built a wall I'd ask to know What I was walling in or walling out, And to whom I was like to give offence. Something there is that doesn't love a wall, That wants it down.' I could say 'Elves' to him, But it's not elves exactly, and I'd rather He said it for himself. I see him there Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed. He moves in darkness as it seems to me~ Not of woods only and the shade of trees. He will not go behind his father's saying, And he likes having thought of it so well He says again, "Good fences make good neighbors." | | | |

| | Missing You The first time we met, I knew I had a friend. The thing I did not know is that I would want to love you until the very end. Your precious love has turned my life completely around, I feel like I'm walking, but my feet don't seem to touch the ground. Sometimes you seem to be my shinning light guiding me through the long, dark night. As I lie alone in bed thinking of you and I I wonder if you think of me too as one more night slowly drags by. I wish I were there with you, kissing your sweet lips under the pale moon light, and holding you, so very tight. You really are the man of my dreams and I can't wait to be with you, for the rest of my life. I know our time away seems like an eternity, but I'll wait forever to be in your life. I love you, I need you, I want you, and I will for all my life. source: Romantic love poem by: Gail Erwin | i love you baby
