walmart riding mower quits when hot  |

 my mower is a everstart riding mower with a 12.5 hp briggs&stratton engine.it will run from a cold start for 30-40 mins and then quits.i would let it cool down and start it up again for about 30 mins and quits again.i checked the oil and change it reularly and change the air filter when needed. Also change the spark plug at the start of every season.Its 4 years old.Im an auto mechanic but have now clue on small engines.could this be the points and condenser?let me know what you think.thanks.
