i used to be terrified of the dark as a child, now if its pitch darkness I get a little uneasy feeling, but I can deal with it, I have a child now so I usually have a nightlight somewhere on, so its not pitch black darkness anymore.

Yes, I once was afraid of the dark. I guess I got over it with a dimmer and dimmer night light till I didn't need one anymore. Also, I remembered the fact that there wouldn't be light without dark and dark without light.
