Movie Behavior

Hehe I can relate. Rude people are one of the reasons I rarely go out to see a movie in the theatre anymore. I also find I just can no longer afford the price of movie tickets. I prefer renting DVD films.

I agree with that. I hate going to the movies now a days and its not about the little kids. Its the teenager. They talk and giggle throughout the movie. I even had to walk out a get my money back one time. So yes I feel your pain. My son fidgets a little but at least he does not kick the back of peoples seats and talks loudly. He may comment a little but that is ok. I just wait for the DVD too myself.

My other half & me have actually stopped going to go & see a movie at the theatres because the way people act really irritates us. It's difficult to watch a movie when the people around you just came to giggle with there friends, or try to talk on there cell phone while a movie is playing.
We've had to many bad experiences with people just acting rather immature.

I honestly can't state which annoys me more, but I have a tendency to go off on people who do any of these things during the movie I have paid to come & see.. Once I actually told someone to stop opening there cell phone (people kept calling this girl's cell phone or she'd keep opening it up & then this bright blue light would be flashing in our direction.) I ended up saying loudly "Why bring a cell phone to a movie theatre? Didn't you pay to see the movie?" and these young teenagers beside us.. Began laughing uncontrollably. Keep in mind we we're there watching a horror film.. Wow what a great way to ruin the movie in general eh?! . .

Another time my other half & me went to watch a movie.. I forget which one it was exactly.. But.. These people sat in-front of my other half.. And they we're eating some form of greasy food.. We could really smell it.. And they kept licking their fingers & making all of this noise for no reason at all.. After that we just started waiting for a movie to come out to rent.. We just couldn't handle the way people we're acting each & every time we decided to go & see a movie in the theatre.. Having to be around any of this behavior would make anyone NOT want to come back to the theatre..

So I understand completely how you feel when it comes to this matter.. I as well wish they'd flash a screen saying for people to turn off there cell phones, & not to talk to loudly & so forth.." I think they should make a rule that if people are being to noisy that they should be kicked out.. If it is bothering other people to much.. Maybe then people would actually be able to enjoy a half decent movie every once in a while that they paid to go & see.. Next time we decide to go to a theatre & all of this happens again.. I'm definitely going to be talking to a manager..

Thank you for bringing up this topic.. As I can understand where you are coming from since I have been there myself.. At least you have taught your step son well.. And taught him to not talk or make to much noise at a theatre.. To respect the people around him.. That's how I would be teaching my children as well when that time comes.

Guess is good we don't live in the same town and go to the same movie house. I wouldn't be the one kicking your seat but if the movie is funny I'm gunna laugh. My husband laughs a lot at the movies. When I go I've had popcorn tossed on me have gotten stepped on and kids going in and out. Once in awhile it does bug me but normally no. I figure some movies kids are made to come or parents assume the kid wants to see it and they really don't. If it is a kids movie I think kids should be allowed to laugh and yell at the bad guy on the screen. Kids should be allowed to be kids. Don't you think?

That's why I hate to go to a popular movie when it first comes out. I hate to be in a crowded theater. And why in the world do people sit right next to you when there is plenty of room? I don't get that.
