 I was at a dinner party last night and one of the ladies was talking about a person she knew that has a business degree but she can't find a job that would make as much money as she gets from being on welfare. So she gets to stay at home with her children and get paid. I honestly think that we should take advantage of all the breaks we can get from the government because it's our tax money anyway but how long is long enough ya know?

If I had the opportunity to graduate from a 4 year college, I would definitely put my degree to use. Why isn't she registered for agencies to find work? They can help. To find a job is to NETWORK. Staffing agencies is the way to go these days to find a job. so, tell her to get out there.

I couldn't do that unless I couldn't help my self. Some people really need the welfare and it's people like her that give it a bad name

I'm not living off welfare either and even when I was a single mother working a crappy job I did not quit just because I could get more from the system!

This woman has children, the gov., should be using the resources to make the father pay for the kids not the taxpayer. And if her husband/boyfriend is in the picture and also on welfare, than shame on the both of them. Great question by the way.
