Harry Potter? Miss Marple? Aslan of Narnia? Personally I find this question almost impossible to answer, so I'd very much like to hear your ideas.

My favorite charachter is batman and spiderman. I like watching both cartoon and reading the comics. I have the movies Harry Potter and Aslan of Narnia too. I have played Harry Potter game also. Its really a good game. I wonder how they made Aslan and other charachters. It is through computer software or the Aslan face movements are real? Which software did they used?

That is a tough question, because I don't have just one favorite. So, I'll give one of many favorites. The first character I liked was Beth March from Little Women. I guess she's not technically fictional, since she was based on a real person, but it's still a fictionalized version. I liked her because she was shy like me. Also because she was very musical, which I always wanted to be, and because she was very sweet and good and everyone loved her. Somehow, that didn't seem too good or annoying to read about, and I used to want to be Beth.

myLot reputation of 92/100. anglogerman (453)  4 years ago

Oh yes, that's good. I loved Beth, but I identified most with Jo.
You mentioning who you wanted to be just reminded me who my favorite fictional character is: Elizabeth Bennet! I so much wanted to be her when I was younger...*lol*

I like Elizabeth Bennet also. Jane is a little to pale, isn't it?

myLot reputation of 92/100. anglogerman (453)  4 years ago

Yes, I always think she seems too good to be true.

When I was younger my favourite character was Sherlock Holmes.
His detective work set in Victorian London made him seem like a mystical person.
I always enjoyed the very clever denouement in the short stories, and the flavour of an Empire now departed.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a very clever writer.

This is a really difficult question to answer but I think my first choice would be Lewis Carrolls Alice.

myLot reputation of 92/100. anglogerman (453)  4 years ago

Oh yes, that's another good one. Always found those books a bit surreal, though... was always glad when she woke up!

If I have to choose between the three it will be Miss Marple. There are actually a lot I like. In my teenage years I was in love with Zooey Glass (Salinger) and Thomas Beckett (Anouilh. I'm not sure, could I be fond of real Thomas Beckett!) I used to like Scarlett O'Hara very much (not very bright but always practical, that's what I wanted to be) but nowdays I would vote for Melanie Wilkes. Little My (Tove Jansson) could be my sister (a little bit naughtiness could be beneficial). Brother Cadfael and Hugh Beringar (Ellis Peters). Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin (Rex Stout). For couple of days I found a new friend, sister Fidelma (Tremayne). I have to stop, there are too many already!

Yes, I always preferred Melanie Wilkes to Scarlett O'Hara, even though I was irritated by her blindness towards Scarlett's feelings for Ashley. Scarlett was a spoiled brat.
