New York Times Top Ten of 2006 List  | |  http://www.nytimes.com/re... you read any of the books on this list? I have read the "Emperor's Children", and it comes off like a bunch of preppies whinging. It read like a predictable romance novel and I'm stunned it made it onto this list. I guess it spoke to the people who write for The Times. While Jennifer Egan's "The Keep" didn't show up, which is a real shame.
