My E-mail account has been hacked into. What do I do?  |

 Well friends, just yesterday, when I logged in to my yahoo account, I found out that all my e-mails have been deleted, including the professional as well as the personal ones. Even the Address book is empty. I am at a loss for words. Please advise me what to do. I want to bring the hacker to book. Any advice would be welcome.

1.  healthymom (773) | 2 years ago |  I am sorry you have to go through this. I would start with contacting yahoo somehow. I have a hotmail acct. and someone took over mine. I couldn't get into it at all. I searched all day to finally contact them. Then I was fortunate to only have to provide them a credit card number I had used many years ago to upgrade my email memory. That was the only was to get back into my acct. The hackers went in and changed my secret question. Fortunately nothing was gone yet.
I hope you get it straightened out. One Hint: change your passwords at least a couple times per year.

2.  cooldude8889 (2319) | 2 years ago | Well,Try emailing yahoo and tell them about your situation.Because i belive that they will keep the ip address of the hacker.If the ip address is dynamic,they can contact the ISP and check what time who use this ip address.And they can track who is the user.If the user is using a internet cafe they still can track it.But the question is if yahoo is willing to go through all this trouble. | |
