My husbands family...

I can't even stand the sight of his parents and stepparents right now. I feel so bad about my hubby. I started a disscussion about being depressed about Christmas. Now my hubby is doing better about Christmas between us but its getting harder for him with his family. Things got worse last Monday when we found out his aunt passed away due to cancer. I was meeting my husband after he got off of work because i was shooting pool. His step mother was there for 2 hours while I was there never said hi or anything When my hubby got there he went to her first and i was in the middle of a match. I sent the bartender over to mess with him. When he finally made it my way he told me about his aunt. He kbnew before he got there, they called him at work. He was under the impression that since she was there so long that she had told me. Didn't she think I deserved to know. She knew I was there most of the time. Since then noone has called to see how my husbands doing. They only call him to tell him bad news.Never to check on there grandkids. He has had absolutely no contact with his mother in a year or so. She has never even seen her grandson and she lives 20 minites away. His grandparents are great but hes lost contact with them also. I tried to get him to call his grandpa today for his birthday but all he said was they don't want to talk to me anyway. I don't understand why his family treats him like crap. He is a great guy and has the best heart in the world. Hes a great daddy and hubby. And was a good son to them. Why are some parents so self absorbed. From what ive seen its almost like when he turned 18 he was on his own they did there job so be it. They are definatly a frustrating bunch, I just don't know what to do? Me and my husband take 2 steps forward and they take him back 3 steps.`
