Watching his speeches is... wierd. He was so expressive, used his hands and arms a lot, and intense, staring expressions.
Yes, checks and balances are the only answer, for it keeps a check on all power(s) and seats, which is very necessary because of human tendency toward selfishness, and even corruption! Over and over again people have had emperors and kings and leaders they love to follow, and then they've been robbed, oppressed and beaten down. No ruler, male or female (or political party) can really be trusted. Just checked, just in case! And people usually behave somewhat better if they know the checks are in place! | |
