Many families have ‘cancelled Christmas’ this year because of financial worries  

According to homeless charity Shelter Cymru, nearly 200 families in Wales will have to spend their Christmas in bed and breakfast accommodation and many more cannot afford to celebrate this festive season, because of their financial woes.


Announcing their findings on the 40th anniversary of the broadcast of the homeless drama Cathy Come Home, John Puzey, director of Shelter Cymru, said that homelessness is devastating many families all year round and Christmas is an especially difficult time for them.
