I f the number of bad things happening in your life kept making you a better person Jesus would be asking me for advice.

I feel better knowing it's not just me...when I look back on this year I just can't believe how much crap happened to my family.

2006 Year in Review

I accidentally helped get my boss fired

I lost my job--twice, and 2000 a month in income with it

My 16 year old was fired from his first job

My dad died suddenly and left my mom penniless

My mom moved here from Virginia with 11 cats and I had to find her a place to live. She brought my very sick, 400lb brother with her.

The cat I had for 8 years ran away while I was at my dad's funeral

My 16 year old was arrested for burglary and vandalism--TWICE

My son's life was threatened by one of the kids involved in the burglary scandal. The kids stole a 9mm from his mom.

My dryer broke and I had to go to the laundromat for 3 weeks straight

My TV broke and it cost 400 to fix it. (It's hi-def)

My very expensive digital camera broke and I can't afford to fix it. To to make matters worse, I can't even blame the kids because I broke it!

My ex husband is STILL a giant Pr1ck

I had to overdraft my checking account to pay for my kids Christmas

And to top it all off, my feet really hurt all the time for no reason at all.

I forgot to add that my husband went back to the boat and he is NEVER HOME. I might see him once a week if I'm lucky.

I got your email. Thank you so much for your kind words. I will go back to my doc and get the referral for therapy. And I've started going to the gym, which they tell me helps tremendously.

I look at this year as a "season". Sometimes you just have to go through some stuff. But you know, I still feel hopeful for next year. I have a good feeling about it. Things have been pretty good for me the last few years; I think it was just my turn to go through the fire stuff. But I am older, wiser and stronger and I'm handling it much better than I would have 10 years ago.

Oh, and my cat never came home. We have lots of wildlife (cougars, bears and foxes and raccoons) where I live and I think something bad happened to him.

Alright, alright...you win...I bow to your superior misery and the gracious humor with which you bear it....I hope I can retain my sense of humor when I'm old and decrepit too....:)

It suits me if you pray for sndcain roz. She needs all the prayers she can get, even if it's to "no God". Good advise, keep your sense of humor and don't get your pucker strings all in a bunch, about stuff.

Hi Sndcain, Your year sounds a lot like mine, except at least I didn't lose my dad. I'm so sorry to hear about that.

I lost my job, but it was a $4,000 per month job and my unemployment has now run out and I'm single. Can you say desperately trying to find a way to find an income? LOL

Have faith, it will all be ok. Hard to do, I know.

Now about Roz. Hmmmmmmm. Roz is scaring me because my pill bottle count is already starting to go up!! Oh no!!! So far though I think I have toothpaste and the other on the correct ends and I stay out of toilet water. LOL

A day without whats her name is like a day with out sunshine. But then again there is always august.

So for the update...it's ended on a good note. I finally got a job, so that's the major thing that I've been trying to accomplish FOREVER!!!

I agree...we all need to take control of our fate and make lemonade out of the lemons...

You can make all the lemonade you want but when life gets crappy for me I just get more toilet paper.

Ya, toilet paper is a lot easier to wipe with.
