Or was 2006 a truly crappy year? It will go down in the record books as a stinker of a year. I will be glad to see the other side of it.

| 21. rackback (92) | 4 years ago | Yeah, 2006 was a crappy year. I've been working alot more and only getting paid a little more, see my family less, and don't get to spend as much time doing my hobbies (making beer and playing guitar). I can't wait to get another job that will be less demanding on my time.

22. siva12 (774) | 4 years ago | For me it is 50-50. I didn't feel so much bad, at the same time I didn't feel so much happy. I think new year will give us much better than this year. Wait for the new year.

| rackback (92) | 3 years ago | Did you read the part about her DAD DYING? I guess we all can't be as hardcore as you. Everybody has a bad year every once in a while. She didn't say her life was bad.

| GuillotineTears (5) | 3 years ago | lol... I actually had to laugh when I read all of this. I came here because somebody linked it on my homepage... I find it funny that so many people are comparing how bad their years were... I realize its not 2007 and this discussion is a bit old... but I had a couple of points I wanted to make... First of all... wow that really DOES suck, about your dad dying and your son being held at gunpoint... I am truly sorry to hear that... That being said, I must say... perhaps being arrested is the best possible thing for your son?? Might wake him up a little bit so that he doesnt destroy his life further... and your cat running away and your digital camera breaking... oh good lord I cannot even comprehend why you included those?? Yes, I'm sure it kinda sucked... but it certainly wouldnt rate at the top of the list for the "worst things to have happened to me in 2006"... first of all, be glad your cat didnt get electocuted and die like our friends new puppy did, be glad you could AFFORD a digital camera in the first place, and a dryer too for that matter... SOME Of us have had to go to the laundromat our entire LIVES... let alone two weeks... And you had to spend 400 dollars to get your hi def t.v. fixed?? Yeah, sure theyre nice but certainly not necessary, be glad you haven't had to spend 9 of the 12 months of 2006 in a fema trailer because a big nasty storm came and wiped out your entire life... As for your mom coming to you after your dad died, with your sick brother... good god... be glad you HAVE A FAMILY that you both care about and cares about you back... and last but not least... you overdrew your checking account to pay for your kids christmas?? Well, here in mississippi we werent even able to have a christmas tree, let alone christmas dinner or any presents or even a simple card because we had to pay 1,500 to FINALLY be able to move into an actual apartment and OUT of the fema trailer which would be ready on Jan. 15, yes thats right... we spent christmas in a one bed, no hot water, no oven, broken window, rotting floor fema trailer... Honestly, compared to some people... your life sounds like a vacation. Be happy you have the life you have, and when you get down and think that everytime you try to stand up, life wants to take a swipe at you to knock you back down to your knees, just turn on your nice hi def tv and look at some real tradgedy.?? Might put things in perspective a bit...
