| London, England | | | | I lived in London for three months although I am American. I love all of the historical things that I found there. Since I am a Christian, I was interested in places such as John Wesley's home and church with the cemetery across the street. Now, I can visualize some of the things that I know about him. I attended several church services while in London and learned quite a lot about the differences between US church and the services there. The double deck buses are exciting, the visits to Buckingham Palace, and various museums are astonding, especially the changing of the guard ceremony. I loved walking across Tower Bridge and to where the Queen's jewels are stored. The evidences of the World War are still very visible and cause one to think about the suffering that happened there. I love the place. There is one element of London that I don't like, however. I was there from July to November. Even on the hottest day, people wore sweaters. On the hottest night, we used the fireplace to keep warm. The place is so COLD!! I'm referring to the weather. The people themselves are warm and loving. Visit London sometime. It's a great city. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | I like London too. I have stayed two summers there for the past 2 years. I go back to my country once the winter wind begins, and also because my visa expires after 6 months. I also loved walking across the Tower Bridge and have seen the beautiful jewels. I have gone to some countryside with beautiful old houses. | | | | | | | harcab (983)

| | I really enjoyed London. I spent a semester at University of Westminster back in 2000. I got to stay in a little area known as Little Venice. It was a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. There was also a really cool New Zealand Pub around the corner (it was a small place... if 15 people were there, all seats were taken). I was glad to take an art and history class that was offered to the foreign students--they took us to all the museums and a few churches. I saw some museums I didn't know existed. I had a lot of fun getting lost on my daily walks. | | | | | | | | | | Self Publish for Free Use Free Tools or Let our Pros Custom-Create Your Book. | | Hampton Court Palace is where I loved to take visitors when we lived in London. I'm surprised it's not better known in North America - we seem to know about Buckingham Palace but not the other Royal Residences. | | | | | | | | | | Cheap Crystal Chandeliers Crystal Chandeliers at Best-Price!
