Saurav Ganguly, the most impressive and successful captain of the Indian cricket team, is back in the team again, and wow what a way to come back. He has performed in a situation when all other members of the team was going through a torrid time under the sustained pace attack of the South African fast bowlers. Saurav was dropped ten months ago from the team, since he was unable to perform, and Rahul Dravid was made the captain. Rahul Dravid, as we all know, is a versatile batsman and a teamman as well. But it is also noticed that he does not have the aggression that Saurav has shown when he was the captain. After the dismal performance of the Indian team at South Africa in one day series, the selectors had no other choice but to call back Saurav and Zaheer Khan. Now the time has come when we all realise that apart from the young blood, experience do count as well. The World Cup is just round the corner. We should now take a decision, whether we should have Saurav as the captain of Indian cricket team, who catapulted the team to the finals in the last World Cup.

Saurav was a good motivator, but I think that too much of success bloated his ego and then maybe there were bickerings with other team mates, with the coach - and team India started performing poorly, as did Saurav himself, who had started taking his place in the team for granted. I think that he should be in the team, but not as captian. And he should not take his place fro granted.
