What is your favorite Christmas Memory?  |

 Mine happened when I was 8 years old. My dad was living in Massachusetts and I flew out there to see him for Christmas Break. Believe it or not, I still believed in Santa Clause back then. My grandpa, who lived with my dad..."video taped" Santa Clause coming down the chimney and putting gifts under the tree. He even left a message for me on the tape telling me I was such a good girl that year. They even went so far as to put soot footprints on the floor around the fireplace. I know it sounds cheesy...but its seriously my favorite memory.

1.  mfrancq (1006) | 4 years ago |  I was seven years old, and my grandmother was sleeping in my room that year. She kept me up all night, and when I finally fell asleep around 2am, she decided to wake me up at 3am and tell me to go wake up my mom so we could open gifts. I got up and woke up my mom and got in so much trouble. My grandmother was in the back ground snickering of course! She used me to keep herself out of trouble because she was to excited. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? I got in trouble, but my grandmother and I thought it was very funny. I would have to say that was one of my better memories of Christmas.

I wonder how many 8 year olds out there still believe in Santa? It would seem that kids are growing up a lot quicker these days and it would surprise me to hear of an 8 year old believer. My favorite Christmas memory would be leaving a message for Santa on my chalkboard and having him write back to me. I just couldn't believe that he could take the time out of his busy night to write back to me..hehe.

I woke them u befor ethey could get up and I sat with them and hlped them open their gifts. My 2 year old niece grabbed a bear that I bough her. Itt was so big that The fell over trying to pick it up. I though it was the cutest thing in the world.

My family always did a similar thing becuase each year we would choose one of our gifts that we had been given to take to a local group home as donations. Mom said it was important to give our best and not our junk. Those kind of lessons mean so much when you're a child don't they?
