Santa Claus real?

It depends at what age they find out about it. I was maybe a bit disappointed. I think I pretended not to know so that I could carry on getting extra presents in the form of a stocking!!!

My Sweetheart and I discussed this. He taught his children that Santa existed a long long time ago, and that he gave gifts to children. To remember him we do the same every year. Mommy and Daddy put presents in children's stockings to keep the loving spirit of Santa alive.

If we teach our children that Santa is real we are lying, putting pressure on ourselves to keep it up, and putting pressure on poor people to keep up, people who might not be able to afford to be Santa. If Billy gets a nintendo but Sammy only gets a pair of mittens, is that fair?

If Billy and Sammy know that their parents and families are doing their best then it's OK, but if not, then Sammy might think that Santa descriminates against poor children.

I have no idea.
I mean well I was taught that Santa does exist, I dont think I got too disappointed when I found out he wasn't real. I just got over it, lol. I was like oh well he never bought me anythng good anyways! lol, j/k.
Well my 8 yr old daughter is too smart she already knows that im the tooth fairy and that Santa isn't real.
She spoiled all the fun!

I don't see anything wrong that young children believe in Santa Klaus. There is nothing wrong to dream about a world that is good and that Santa Cluas exists and bring presents to young children that behave well during the year. I don't wont to kill my child's innocent period. I want to let him grow out of it by himself.© ronaldinu 2008

It is unhealthy to teach that Santa is real.
At the same time, it is also unhealthy to teach that God is real.

If God exists, then Santa also exists.
If Santa does not exist, then God also does not exist.
