I would not say India is 100% free. Even today we are ruled by our corrupt politicians. The only difference, is we were dominated prior to independence, but now we are dominated in a more peaceful way. Earlier we were victimized by force, now we are victimized in a more polite manner. Even today law is only for the innocents, crooks, money and influential get away from the law. We are duty bound to pay taxes, whether we like it or not.

I would not advocate total freedom too, like our electronic media, somewhere down we need to draw a line.

totally free can only be in words i feel, but our thoughts can be 100% free all the time. irrespective of our outer circumstances, we can be free to choose the right things in life, take the right decisions, and refuse the unwanted habits and addictions, which make us slave to them.
