Mountain Bike Trails  | |  I sometimes find it a challenge to find new trails to ride. Often one can find trails in their own back yard so to speak.
Old railroad beds converted to trails. some ski lift operators will offer the lifts for mountain bikes in the summer months. State parks, state forests. Wet Sand beaches next to the water is very nice.
Inner city parks. Logging roads. These are resources I have found, but there are others Im sure.

But if you don't have that available, you can always work with what you have. Go to your local highschool on Sunday when no one is there, there are steps and ramps and hills and you can build your own obstacles. Be creative!

In my area and within a short driving distance there is the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York State. Many mountain trails that wind down and around, from difficult to moderate and then easy trails for beginners. Many mountains have public access trails. One can find several bike shops to rent you the high end professional type bikes that have heavy duty suspension, disk type brakes for power downhill braking and other options such as lightweight frame material.
From reading your post i think you may still be in high school, as for me I am 42 years old and still love the thrill. Happy biking, see you on the trails. | |

| | 2.  eXxodus (190) | 1 year ago |  I'm very fortunate to live extremely close to a really good network of trails. I could pretty much go anytime I wanted, but of course I'm not that active xD. There are also a lot of trails less than a 2 hour drive away. I just got into mountain biking this year, so I think I'll have a while before I get to ride them all!
