"Made in China" drives me nuts!!!

I believe you are incorrect. I build as well as sell Made in China gifts and the China gifts are not the quality that I make. My work outlasts the other many times over. I have been doing this for 10 years and I know of what I speak. I have a following to my work. The money the consumer puts in their gas tank to get to the places that sell the Made in China product would more than make up the difference if they shopped locally. And if the consumer also knew that the seller is making 5 times or more than what they actually paid would the customer still purchase the items?

I agree with you chinese goods are worthless. Even our domestic market is flooded with that so much that some people believe chinese are planning to taje over the globe through economic invasions. everything has made in china written at the back and te quality is so bad that once spoiled there is no guarantee, exchange or repair. even I am sick of made in china stuff. Still people keep buying this stuff.

I'm not generalizing that all products (100%) are of high-quality. In the case of my country, we buy at chinese stores coz they are much cheaper....as in very cheap than any other. Sorry to say, I'm not an American. I don't hate China after all. If you do...then so be it. You are just unlucky. I think you are not a SMART consumer.

Of course, everyone wants good quality but low cost.

I did not say I dont buy Chinese product nor did I say I hated China! Do not put words in my mouth!! There is no where to go except my shop and a few others to get products that are made in the USA. You are a ignorant person for making that comment. Obviously you did not read my post. I do not blame the Chinese. I blame the US government for allowing the Chinese to take over the US market. The Chinese are smart.

I am just saying it is taking away from the US workers. We no longer have the jobs to support our families like 30 years ago. All are gone.

I think as you, but many times the material that is used in the exterior does not follow the requirement of quality of our country.
Being thus we are wronged in the product and our economies of the country.

I think the countries need to re evaluate what is important. I think the typical person would spend a few more dollars to help their perspective country. But I could be wrong.

SHEFFIELD STEEL!!!

It was renound!!

If you bought anything made of Sheffield Steel you KNEW it was good!!!

This Smelting Plant CLOSED YEARS AGO!!!!

The ROVER CAR plant used to make some of the BEST cars in UK.........

CLOSED........ purchased by............. CHINA!!!!!!!!!!

Try to phone your BANK in the UK... it will go to.. India!
Then, when you say you want to speak to a specific person, they wil re-route the call back to MY HOME TOWN from India and it is STILL CHEAPER!!! .... work that one out!

I totally agree with you. The government needs to work this. Did you know that much of the produce we still grow in the US goes out of the US? So we have to buy from outside the UNited States to feed our own?

The other countries are allowing China to dominate. We need to cut back a little and give others a chance. Not just the USA. But until the government hears us we are just a few. I think you maybe right. Or the consumer will keep shopping. No matter what, I will continue until they stop coming.

vikrant is right. people has known by their experiences that chinese products are nowhere if the quality is concerned, as compared to indian products. and now they are becoming aware of that.Government has also increased the tariffs (like Anti dumping duties). thats why i think you must not worry. it is only the quality that will be remembered (considered) in the long run.

Thanks for the 2 cents. I compete against them so avoidance is impossible. I just think it is like a drug, we need to back away a little. And I am not worked up, just getting my point out. Not like I can do anything about it.
