 Hi I wahted to share with you what just happened to me:
I was busy writing here at mylot and having answered a post about coffee, I decided to make me some. I went to the kitchen, turned on the stove, set the pot with water on it and went back to the computer room to Mylot.
Sure you can guess:
forgot about the water in the kitchen. Half an hour later my hubby went there and I just heard him: "oh, whats this?? Hooooney, did you want to make a coffee for u?"-----"Yes, why?"-
The water has cooked out and the stove is red hot.......
Ooooops so be careful........

Dun worry LAdy,next time just be little more cautious!!! And look whose giving advice,one who generally does this kind of mistake!!

| 2. TerryZ (11511) | 2 years ago |  Thanks I usually use my coffee pot but I do use my kettle when I make tea. I know when something like that happens I always say Well this could have happen and this could of caught fire! Its a scary feeling.

I was 16 and home sick from school so mom and I took advantage of having the Coleco game console (playing donkey kong) to ourselves...during mom's turn I put water on for tea. When it was my turn to play mom kept bugging me to let her play again and by the time I went back out into the kitchen the wall was on fire! The fire dept. had to come and they tore half the wall down to make sure there was nothing left burning inside the wall. Mom wanted to yell at me but couldn't do anything but laugh because it all happened while we were acting like children playing video games...lol

| blastrail (262) | 2 years ago |  Oh.. it is really funny. You are safe. Things like these happen in different ways for different people. In my case I overheat the water and my current bill increases. But I am always careful not to forget for too long a time.
