New Year's concert

They are shown here in the U.S. on public televsion, and I enjoy watching them when I can. I also sometimes watch the specials featuring Andre Rieux{sp?] who seems to specialize in Strauss waltzes, among other types of music.

Yes, it's a tradition for us to watch them. Must admit though, for easy listening I too prefer André Rieu; his concerts are often shown on German TV and there's always the most terrific atmosphere. His is just the kind of orchestra I would have liked to play in during my young days as a professional musician...
