Sammy Hagar: A Man for the People

Just wanted to say that if you want to know someone who cares about their fans, check on Sammy Hagar. This guy is just so awesome; I spend alot of time on his board (redrocker.com) and have talked to many who have got to meet him. He's just another guy is what they say; he has no pretensions towards "rock stardom" or any of that crap. I know he writes really good music and usually has something worthwhile to say, and you'd never guess he's almost 60 from the energy he displays at his concerts. If you've heard him, let me know what you thought; if you haven't, give him a listen; it could be worth your time.

I have been a Sammy Hagar fan since he was in Montrose.I like almost everything he has done.The one mistake I think He made was joining Van Halen.They did some good stuff but I like His solo stuff way better.I hope to go see Him the next time he is in St Louis.

oh yeah,,,he's kool..what is it..WABO CABO!!!!
I one some tickets to a concert of his back in 98 or 99' I think..in Dallas. ( back when I was single & went to concerts almost every other weekend..lol)ahh..dem was the dayzzzzz = D
yeah..cant believe he is 60

I know him as In 1985, Hagar replaced David Lee Roth in Van Halen, I was a big Van Halen fan.

After parting ways with popular vocalist David Lee Roth, the remaining members of the band Van Halen contacted many people looking for a vocalist.
They auditioned and quickly hired Hagar to fill the opening. With Hagar at the front, Van Halen produced four multi-platinum albums: 5150, OU812, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, and Balance as well as many number one hits.
