I love it  | |  In my quest to find new and tastier versions of the original i have heard of a few variations. Has anyone heard of putting bread crumbs on top? If so, how did it come out?

| | | | | | | | 1.  gatorgirl277 (105) | 3 years ago |  I actually add broccoli to my mac and cheese. I steam the broccoli separately, and then add the broccoli (not the water that it was steamed in) once I've added the cheese to my pasta. It adds your needed veggies and tastes great, too!

| | 4.  freak369 (3484) | 3 years ago |  I like to add diced chicken to mine. The brood like to have cut up hot dogs or meatballs (plain meatballs, no sauce) added to theirs. I've never heard of using breadcrumbs on top, it might dry it out a little. Usually I made my own with elbow macaroni and American cheese with a little milk added so it's nice an creamy.
