Decriminalise Heroin?  |

 Is that the answer? Here in Britain we awash with the stuff and the cost to society in broken lives, crime and health resources is incalculable. The Afghan crop has multiplied by a factor of eight in the years of USA "controls". Though I have ernestly tried, I have failed to help, and lost dear friends, who turned into what I can only describe as evil zombie strangers under the spell of addiction.
Recent events in Britain have shown that the authorities can close the supply of cannabis quite effectively. No doubt they are congratulating themselves. But I wish something serious could be done to adress what I see as a far more pressing need, the spread of Heroin and other hard drugs.

 nuffsed (870) | 3 years ago | Thank you Lydia... It's a long time since I had that experience, but I had a neighbour die and leave two boys age 10 and 8, her hubby went missing a year ago after introducing her to the filthy stuff.:(

I have case studies and evidence of successful methods tried in Britain and subsequently halted by Maggie Thatcher. I have evidence and histories from Switzerland.

The people dealing these horrors are criminals. We should adopt Thai remedies for dealers. Human misery is the worst of all trades. | |

I can not say out loud directly where we need to take the conversation. Just ask yourself, why the government won't stop the heroine trade. You know they could.
