 How many of you have seen the movie Somewhere in Time starring Jane Seymore and Christopher Reeves? What do you think about that movie?
I saw it and I love that movie so much. I have been a sci-fi, horror, action type of movie watcher. I never really paid much of attention to romantic movies but this one really shook me up. Not only was the story written so good, but Jane Seymore was so beautiful in that movie and Christ looked so handsome too.

| 5. scarydog (127) | 2 years ago |  Ha, never thought I'd ever see a post about this movie....absolutely brilliant plot.... brilliant acting and hardly ever heard of now. I was totally engrossed by the music...searched for ages to get the soundtrack....but definitely an unusual plot.

I have it on both VHS and DVD, since my children realize just how much I love that particular movie. About 7 years ago, my daughter bought me the VHS version and then two years ago bought me the DVD version. My husband carries a penny in his wallet (I won't give away too much of the plot) to this day. I have found Somewhere in Time even more personnal, now that Christopher Reeves has passed away and the theme music can make me cry, just by hearing it.

has anyone visited the hotel on the Macinack Island?
I honestly want to go I hear they do not allow cars on the area to this day!
and you take a ferry over to the hotel and can either walk bike or take a horse drawn buggy!
What a beautiful way to remember the movie.
I hope to get there some day one place I do want to go

| my3hearts (10) | 2 years ago |  My mother and her now husband went there for her birthday. It was during the somewhere in time weekend. They met the little boy, who was the elevator man as a child. Her husband preposed to her there. It has to be the most romantic place ever. It is true that you are not allowed cars there. You can also look up the movie title online and get information on the themed weekends at the hotel.

always made me jump out of my seat. I cried like a baby the
first time I saw it and so did my husband..(he was a tough guy too)
I think it's cool to find someone here on mylot who loves
this movie as much as I do. Matter of fact, I have it on
my Bizzy Blogz page as my favorite.
My hubby passed away so now I feel a twinge of what they
went through in the movie. Every time I see it now it reminds me of him.
