 snowflake5 (1280) | 3 years ago | She is quite pretty, but not as good-looking as Prince William or Princess Di. I think she would be good too - she's bright for a start, better educated and more intelligent than the existing royals.
She and William have been dating monogamously for five years now, since they shared a house at univesity. They are both very young (she turned 25 this month, William will turn 25 in July).
This couple is clearly very different from Charles and Di. I believe the reason the Queen is hanging on despite being over 80, is that she means to hand the crown over to her grandson and skip Charles. | |

2.  harcab (983) | 3 years ago |  Most of American don't know a lot about the goings on of royalty. I saw Kate on TV, trying to dodge the paparazzi. It seems that she is mild-mannered and in some ways she resembles Diana. Since they have been seeing each other for so long, I would assume that William thinks highly of her instead of trying to marry a good looking person to try to beautify the royal family. I think that is why Charles chose Diana, for her beauty.

| snowflake5 (1280) | 3 years ago | Charles chose Diana because she was very young (19 at the time compared to his 32) and thought she could be manipulated to keep quiet while he dallied with his various mistresses (Camilla wasn't the only one).
Prince William is a very different personality to his father, steadier, less self-indulgent, less self-pitying. I don't think Charles is fit for the throne and most Brits hope that the Queen will live another 10-15 years and somehow skip over Charles to pass the crown to her grandson. | |

They were comparing that part of it with that of Princess Diana. When all of a sudden you are thrust into the limelight and you aren't use to it. But as far as Kate as a person I haven't really heard too much about her background.

Some thought that Kate Middleton has resemblance to Princess Diana. She even captured the eye of press when paparazzi began to take pictures of her. I think she could be a suitable bride for Prince William since she is also calm and well-reserved especially the time that she brushed off or was not affected of the controversy of Prince William's series of news regarding his nights out with other girls. Sentiment in britain is against the sort of huge expenditure we saw in the 80's for these things. | snowflake5 (1280) | 3 years ago | They have indeed just split up. Apparantly it turns out that William thought she was "boring" and we've had further revelations that he has a roving eye.
It's very disappointing. We had all thought that William was a better man than his father - but it turns out that his steady stable image these last few years has been entirely down to Kate reining him in!
The public is not going to be pleased if he turns out to be like charles. | |
