The movie I can't understand.  

I cannot say that I enjoyed the film I saw last week. It is called 'Wuthering Heights', and is originally a book written by Emily Bronte. It is said to be a great book because of the language in which the story is written. But when I saw it as a film, I did not like the story at all.
It is a story of hatred and revenge. The hero of the story, Heathcliff, is a good hater. He is rough as a saw-edge and hard as steel. He was an orphan boy picked up from the streets by old Mr.Earnshaw. The trouble started when Mr. Earnshaw showed more favour to the strange child than to his own son Hindley.
Young Heathcliff was bullied and badly treated by the older boy. His life was thoroughly miserable and he swore to take revenge on Hindley Earnshaw. It made matters worse when Hindley's young sister Catherine loved Heathcliff, and grew up loving him madly.
It was a cruel blow to catherine when Heathcliff disappeared from their home 'Wuthering Heights' one day. We are not told how it happened, but Heathcliff came back a few years later as a very rich man. He properly took his revenge on Hindley and treated Hindley's son more cruelly than he had been treated by Hindley. There is so much violence in the story that it filled me with horror.
The love story of Catherine Earnshaw is also something I cannot understand. She loved Heathcliff from her heart, but she married another man for his wealth and social position. And then she went on seeing Heatcliff. It made nobody happy, and I don't know who would be the most unhappy of the three (the eternal triangle). It is only to be hoped that their hearts of passionate love and hate may find peace in their deaths which bring the story to an end.
