After getting my car broken into in broad daylight I am interested in getting a car alarm. Are they really all that effective? I hear my neighbors alarm go off at least once every day and I know most of it is probably just because someone got too close to it or something. So do people think, "oh my alarm is just freaking out again," and not even check to see if anything is wrong and meanwhile someone could be breaking in?
