Great question. I think her name gives the answer away though. Her name is pronounced Unikwa, I don't know how it's spelled but I would think that she is one of a kind. Unique. I hope this settles the arguement. :)

I was always wondering what she was to, so I looked it up and got this: Uniqua: A unique type of creature who looks somewhat like a cute pink polka-dotted bug, Uniqua is confident and outgoing. She is brave and fun, but unpretentious. Don't know if it helps or not, but I thought it was cute.

I think everyone is wondering what kind of animal uniqua really is.. ^_^

I looked it up in the internet and it was said that Janice Burgess, the creator said that uniqua is just uniqua.. unique.. she's a species all by herself. many people speculate that uniqua is the creators' image of herself when she was young.
