How do you potty train a dog?

If it's a dog, it would probably be better to either keep it outside for a while until it understands that outside is where he/she does his/her business or put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it where the dog usually does it's business as they tend to go to the same spot each time.

If it's a puppy, it's better to keep it pinned up when you're not around to monitor it and have newspaper in there with it so it can do it's business on but you will have to take it outside after it eats, drinks, and simply periodically. If it makes an accident where you don't want it to, punish it in whatever manner you see fit.
