If you can't keep your kids under control keep them at home.
I was in Wal-Mart Shopping last week.
As I turned to go down a aisle a woman that was not paying attention bumped the front of my shopping cart.It was no big deal However The 5 or 6 year old boy ridding in the cart said don't bump my cart you F ing N word. I am white. the kid and grandparents were white.the grandfather laughed so hard tears were running down his cheek.I think that child needed a spanking and the Grandparents needed their behind stomped.

Wow that is terrible. I would have stopped everything and taken my child to the car for a "talk". At my house the "N" word is worse than the "F" word because it promotes hating people for no real reason. I am horrified that the grandparents thought this whole incident was funny. Hopefully this does not sound biased but usually older people have better moral standards and manners than that.

myLot reputation of 3/100. dangerdvd (316)  6 years ago

ehh... the problem is the education!!! what kind of education did you give them?

myLot reputation of 96/100. loved1 (4901)  6 years ago

um...ok. I was trying to say that I would not allow my child to act this way. We work hard to make sure our children value people who are different from themselves. Education is definitely the key. You can teach them to hate or you can teach them that our differences make us special. Most importantly, you can teach them manners.

That is a very exciting experience while shopping,
although there are kids like them simply stay cool.
Remember we all been their age before, let them enjoy it!
On the other hand, if those behaviours has gone beyond
normal of a growing kids, leave them at home for couple
times only to teach them moral lessons.

myLot reputation of 82/100. berlynn1975 (366)  6 years ago

Huh? Are you for real? I hope that was a joke! Yes, kids are kids. That means running around, giggling, being silly. But definitely NOT using such horrible, demeaning language. And, the grandfather laughing? Wow, that was the best promoter. Kids shouldn't be exposed to that language. And, leaving them at home does not teach moral lessons.

myLot reputation of 86/100. liperoterachel (10130)  6 years ago

Wow I agree with you in the respect they are just kids but the N word is a word of hate. They are learning this behavior from there parents. They are honestly a victom of bad parents.

myLot reputation of 93/100. BittyBiddy (1085)  6 years ago

What???? Let them enjoy it??? I don't think you understand what the kids said.

Oh, my goodness! That is terrible! I just don't even know how to respond to that. First of all for a 5 or 6 year old to say those words you know that he had to be exposed to them! For the grandfather to laugh so hard you know that he is probably the source of such language and racism. I do not think this was in any way funny and not only do I think that that child shouldn't be brought out into public I don't think the grandfather should either. Laughing that hard at this comment reinforces the child's behavior and tells him that this is acceptable.

What was the reaction of the mother and grandmother? Was the mother there?

This is just sickening and the boy is to be pitied with such horrible role models in his life.

myLot reputation of 57/100. inu6080 (695)  6 years ago

The Mother was not there.
it was his Grandmother.
She was Laughing also.

That really was not a funny thing to laugh at. Some grandparents and parents look way past the mistakes and misbehaviour of their kids. Instead of admonishing them or talking to them and explaining their mistakes, they just try to laugh it off, as if there was really something funny about the bad attitude of their children. Parents should strongly tell misbehaving kids that what they are doing is wrong and that they should act accordingly when in public.

Wow.

I am astonished - I don't think this is even a case of keeping your kids under control, I think it's a matter of, well, that entire family having absolutely no manners.

myLot reputation of 63/100. andilla (111)  6 years ago

Exactly. I was wondering why was the title of this discussion only about kids. To keep such a kid at home is not the solution to the problem of having a racist and rude family. Not the child is to blame, it's first of all the parents and grandparents. Of course, such a kid is not an angel either...

The grandparents definitely needed a spanking! For someone to find that kind of experience funny is crazy. The grandfather laughing only encourages such behaviour and how will the child ever learn that it is wrong if he is getting support for such language?? That is horrible!

You definately know what's talked about in that household. That's really sad that the child did not get repremanded, but the fact that he said it... you know they all think it's funny. I think I would have said something in that situation to the parents/grandparents and to that child. I think that if parents don't discipline their children... and teach their children to have respect for the rest of society.. they need to stay @ home.

Not only was the child disrespectful but the grandparent was also. This is inexcusable behavior and if it were my child they would have had their butt spanked right then and there and apologized.

I'm really afraid to see what the next generation will turn out to be like. It's a bit scary.

That is awful. I totally agree. I do not choose to have kids. Because someone else chooses too, and can't discipline them, doesn't mean I should have to put up with the end result when I go out to the store to get something I need. That is just ridiculous!

Well, you can see the example the grandparents are setting for this child. Instead of being disciplined for speaking like that, they encourage it by laughing. It's not even the child's fault, it is the way he is being raised. And I am sure his parents are just as bad. It's very sad.
